Event Sound Booth

Simultaneoue interpreting

A booth with the AV console and 2 interpreters who take turns on the mike and translate as the speakers talks. The audience listens through headsets.

👍   best for conferences and day-long events

👎   costly - requires  equipment for the public and two professionals 

Virtual Meeting

Consecutive interpreting

The translator takes notes as the speaker talks. The speaker pauses every few minutes to let the interpreter translate  for the audience.

👍   ideal for short assignments, only one interpreter is required.

👎   speech becomes twice as long; not suitable for projects that may last several hours.

Business meeting

Chouchotage

When only 1 or 2 individuals need the interpreting service, the interpreter sits next to the client(s) and translates whispering what is being said to the clients.

👍  ideal for small meetings and negotiations. 

👎  requires very good acoustic conditions and may not work well in large meetings/halls.
